What's Happening?

M. Night Shyamalan is one of the most argued about filmmakers out there right?
Most of the people that are anti-Shyamalan are the ones who are all " oh yeah, The Sixth Sense was lame. i saw that dead shit coming a mile away. i know everything blah blah blah."
Screw those people. It's still a good movie. The scene in the kitchen where the cupboards are closed one second and open the next gave you the chills. I know it did. And the scene in the car, when lil' Haley Joel confesses his secret to his mom! Dude. Toni Collette, say hello to your Oscar nomination. That is one of my favorite scenes in any movie.
Anywho- Here's the teaser for M.'s new movie The Happening. It looks scary. The cast is great. And I'm sure a bunch of jackasses will scoff. And Cameron Frye is in it! I met him once, at the Culver City Fed Ex. I hate talking to famous people when I am in love with them but I wasn't about to let Cameron Fucking Frye walk away from me. So he was super nice and I helped him ship something and he was impressed that I knew his real name. The End.

p.s. the movie is out Friday, June 13th! OOOOHHH Scary! Friday the 13th!

* the new Iron Man ad the premiered during the Stupid Bowl yesterday is awesome.

*super-cute Anna Friel from Pushing Daisies is going to be in Land of the Lost with Will Ferrell. Nice.

*tickets for Tom Petty at the Hollywood Bowl go on sale in 2 1/2 hours. I hate ticketmaster a lot, but I am going to try for good seats anyway.

*i love DineLa Restuarant Week a lot. The food I've experienced has been amazing....but besides all that...I discovered a new beer. A delicious beer with a high alcohol content, said our waitress. Duvel. Heard of it? Veronica found some at Cost Plus. So go to 750ml in South Pasadena and eat great food, and drink yummy beer.

my favorite part of the debate

Clinton was challenged to explain why it would be good for the country to have another Clinton in charge after 20 years in which either a Bush or a Clinton has occupied the Oval Office.

"It did take a Clinton to clean after the first Bush, and I think it might take another one to clean up after the second Bush," she said to enthusiastic applause.

trailer for "The Grand"

i'm not sure wtf took so long for this trailer and movie to come out of hiding. i remember reading about it when they were filming it around summer '06.

if a christopher guest movie and an episode of arrested development had a baby, The Grand would be born. that's my take on it anyway.

the story centers around a poker tournament in vegas and a lot of it was improved and they actually played the game. pretty cool, i say. and david cross is in it.

it comes out March 21st.

maybe the funniest thing i've seen sarah do?

the 5th anniversary of Jimmy Kimmel Live was last night.....and this is how Sarah congratulated him.

this is even more funny if you know the history with matt damon on jimmy kimmel.

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel often says: "Our apologies to Matt Damon, we ran out of time" near the end of his ABC television show Jimmy Kimmel Live, a gag lampooning instances where shows cannot feature their last guest due to time constraints. On September 12, 2006, after a segment highlighting the running gag and a lengthy introduction by Kimmel, Damon finally appeared on the show, only for Kimmel to apologetically cut his interview and head to credits, as Damon cursed him. Kimmel later confirmed to USA Weekend that the skit was entirely planned and Damon willingly played along. Kimmel's girlfriend, comedian Sarah Silverman, also used this line at the end of the 2007 MTV Movie Awards. This gag was also used again when Guillermo interviewed Damon at the Ocean's 13 premiere, with Damon asking "Are you with Kimmel?"
