food
Cafe Was, you seduced me with your charming interior and bacon-wrapped dates. Your cheeseburger was just ok (and most will be from now on, compared to Umami) and the service was good. You are a little too pricey all things considered, but your super slow rotating piano man was a welcome treat. I'll be back.

a dessert bar with couches and crepes and sweet grilled cheese sandwiches. oh hell yes.
BabyCakes
vegan cupcakes. supposedly great, opening their first west coast location. i can't wait to judge them on my cupcake scale from 1 to Violet's Cakes.

My grocery store is virtually empty during the day (now). It's like me and 5 AARP members.
They don't seem to mind when I spastically dance to, and sing along with "Good Thing" by the Fine Young Cannibals.
