this makes no sense

I just saw this article saying that Amsterdam is going to get a Times Square-like cleaning wherein the sexy time brothels and fun times coffee shops are going to be shut down.

I've never been to Amsterdam (sadly), but isn't that kind of like Disneyland saying that they are going to stop selling candy? Or Mickey souvenirs? 

Tourism might go down you guys.
