happened at The Paley Center last night and it was a delight.
Normally these panel discussions can get a little verbose, but this one did not.
Of course there's got to be the the obligatory awkward audience q & a, but this one wasn't too painful because we found out after a few minutes that there were a lot of people in the audience that work for actual parks and rec departments and that the show is getting it spot on. there were laughs aplenty you guys. laughs out loud! laughs left and right.
In this picture Amy is telling a woman in the audience "to get the fuck out" after she proclaims that she works in the library department.
have i mentioned that amy poehler is a genius?
it was nice to hear from the behind the scenes people about their process and creating the show. oh yeah, and we got to see next weeks episode.
my face hurt from laughing when it was over. turns out watching a sitcom in a room with a hundred other people is pretty fun.

one of the best parts of the night for me was when aziz got his first question and he let out a serious and long answer in a british accent. i was lizzing.
after he was done and the laughter died down he was all "i just remember watching one of these paley center things for The Wire and learning that all those dudes are british and scottish and getting my mind blown."
also awesome was the constant mentioning of the UCB theater.
