internet radio

Accuradio you guys!

An internet radio site that's one of the few upsides to using a PC.

Accuradio and I go way back....we met in 2004 and i've been a changed woman ever since. There aren't many commercials and when there are it's a commercial for itself, BFD. It's got a super wide range of music with a buncha different channels to choose from....hell, you can even build your own.

The "Future Perfect" channel (their way of saying indie rock) is how i was introduced to the band "Kostars", which was made up of Jill Cunniff and Vivian Trimble, half of Luscious Jackson.
It also introduced me to Yo La Tengo's Little Honda EP and their magical cover of William DeVaughn's "Be Thankful For What You Got".

The "Check the Rhyme" channel is great for many reasons, 1 being that it reminds me of old jamz ( i can use that "z" because i work at ReelzChannel ) that I thought I forgot. Like right now Accuradio is all "nicole, why don't you listen to this:
Above the Clouds
Gang Starr feat Inspectah Deck
Moment of Truth"

And then I'm all "Sheeeit, Negro! That's all you had to say!"

so yeah. next time your feeling like John Hodgman you should maybe check it out.
