remember when i thought last night was just going to be a fun, albeit ordinary night of comedy?
once again the UCB theater showed me that you never know who's going to show up.
the first special guest was Jonah Hill who did 15 or so minutes of hilarious stand-up, especially considering the fact that last night was only his 2nd time doing it and he announced that he had written most of his stuff that day.
(side bar: he was rocking pink vans and i got a little sad when he mentioned a girlfriend.)
the second special guest almost made me collapse onto the floor. Seth Rogen.

from what i remember he was really really funny, he was wearing rad Nikes, he looked super-slim, he talked a lot about weiners and i liked his new short hair. (i knew my swooning would make me think it was all a dream, so i called my work voicemail and recorded some of his set. Stalker Alert #1)
i'm sure i've mentioned this before, but seth rogen's laugh is like my favorite noise on earth. hearing him do it live (DO IT LIVE!) and from 15 feet away was magical. (Stalker Alert #2)
If I see him and Comic Con i might get balls to talk to him, my in? UCB! (Stalker Alert #3)
the 2 of them are no doubt "researching" for their roles in the next judd apatow movie by doing stand-up and i am grateful that i was a witness.
Side Note:
Last night was actually a record release party for Doug Benson who has a new CD out called "Professional Humoredian".
I feel a little bad that his show got hindered by movie stars.
