where the wild things are

The Big Picture Blog in the LA Times has this story entitled "Can Spike Jonze Save Where the Wild Things Are?"

In the story it mentions an early test screening last December where "kids in the audience were crying and fleeing the theater".
Um, I was there and no they weren't.

Not sure what or who gave the studio the idea that what they saw was a bad film. It's so unfortunate because my friends and I really enjoyed what we saw. We were able to look past the fact that it needed a ton of work effects-wise and realize that they were on their way to making something totally original.

Oh well, as long as there are some people that recognize that Spike will make it worth their time and money...

Fun Fact: they still have offices down the hall from me, although i haven't seen Spike.
His parking spot is labeled M. Sednak (that's the dude that wrote WTWTA)
