comedy central

although i am still peeved at them for taking away my beloved Dog Bites Man (perhaps one of the best shows everrrrr), comedy central made me smile when i read this:

Comedy Central orders new projects

Comedy Central is moving into the fantasy arena, greenlighting a scripted live-action series dubbed Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire.In addition, the cable network has ordered pilots or presentations of projects starring a range of talent, including an animated comedy with Snoop Dogg, a sketch show starring Andy Richter and a fake-magazine show featuring David Alan Grier.

i have had massive crushes on Andy and DAG forever. no crush on Snoop, but seeing him animated could by fun.

OH Shit!
also this:

Important news about "Important Things" comes today from COMEDY CENTRAL which has given a series pick-up to comedian Demetri Martin's new series, Important Things with Demetri Martin, it was announced by Lauren Corrao, executive vice president, original programming and development, COMEDY CENTRAL.
The new series is tentatively scheduled to premiere during the second half of 2008. He's the only guy that can take you on a hilarious journey on the importance of apples for thirty minutes and make you laugh and make you think," said Corrao. "He's a regular on 'The Daily Show With Jon Stewart', we've toured with him, done a CD together and a one-hour special. Obviously, we're huge fans of Demetri and Busboy and are extremely excited about taking the next step with them.""This announcement seems very important," said Martin. "I'm very excited to be at COMEDY CENTRAL and looking forward to making one of the top shows of all time -- ever. Also, I need to clean my apartment and thank Jon Stewart."
